1. Why do you think you are student of the month?  

 “I worked really hard, and got extra help.”

2. Do you consider yourself smart?  

   Yes, very intelligent

3. Are you in any extracurricular activities? 

    Help with tutoring

4. Do you have any special skills? 

    Singer, choir

5. How do you manage your time? 

    Very organized, follows a schedule

6. Do you read a lot? 

    “Occasionally”

7. Do you have any tips for people who need to bring up their grades or study?  

     Go to tutoring, be on time, get work done when you have the time

8. Do you work with your teachers a lot? 

     Individual time when extra help is needed

9. Do you take honor's or regular classes? 

     All honors classes

10. Have you applied for college?  

      Just a freshman but planning on it and soon

11. Have you always been a good student, or is it more recent?  

      More recent decision

12. How much time on average a day do you spend studying?  

      Two hours

13. How much time on average a day do you spend doing homework? 

      An hour, unless done in class

14. Do other activities affect your grades? 

      Sports, some times. Have to learn to find time

15. Does trying to keep your grades up effect your social life? 

       “Not during the weekends, but on weekdays it’s hard to find time for friends.”

16. What do you do for fun or to relieve stress? 

       Go for a run, or  read

17. What is your major here at Akins?  

       Performing arts – choir

18. What do you plan on majoring in in college? 

      “Complete opposite of my major here! – Psychology

19. Does being smart come natural, or do you have to try really hard? 

      “Usually natural, but when you get something challenging you have to try.”

20. Do you do anything to help your community or others? 

     Church – kids our age that need extra help with school or just life.
