Broad sheet - big one. 12 pages. average number of stories 3-5
Tabloid - small one. 24 pages. average number of stores 1-2
News Value - what is the most important story.
The flag - name of the news paper.
Teaser - teasing about something in the paper that they want you to go look at. do n0.ot have to have photos.
Folio - date, place, slogan (motto), pricetag, website, recycle symbol,
Headlines - should be written from the first paragraph of the story, interesting
subheadline - tells us more about the story, comes from additional paragraphs. at least one
by line - who wrote it and who they are on staff

pages should have pictures - dominant photo
caption - caption head, photo by, actual caption, sometimes need more than two sentences; more background information or quote.
infographics - graphic information , additional information not available in the story.
sidebars- just words
pages different sections are(table of contents), volume, volume number
masthead - list of the staff of the newspapers
